STAJI is presenting its new all-white collection HEAVEN ON EARTH.
Conceiving this collection, STAJI mastermind Tanja Stadler had lots of inspiration going on as she is convinced that the world is about to undergo a lot of changes soon, changes that will not only affect the economy but our way of living and enjoying.

Tanja's way of looking at things encompasses a thorough study of different cultures and ancient knowledge. She's convinced that humankind is about to develop in way that will be very positive and exciting. "Everything's connected" isn't just a recent scientific discovery to her - it's something she has experienced and believes in. The world, in her mind as well as in the mind of many other artists and scientists, is way more than what we've been told. So it's time to find out about this, about your true self and about how everything's connected indeed.
STAJI understands itself as an ambassador for this new world. And, if you want, as an ambassadorfor the interconnection of all layers of existence.

Consequently, STAJI's collections are about individuality, about truly expressing yourself, and honestly being yourself. You also can’t pigeonhole STAJI designs into categories like casual, smart or evening: Tanja's pieces can be individually combined to fit any purpose you may have in mind.

The key pieces of the HEAVEN ON EARTH collection are slinky dresses with asymmetrical shapes easy to combine or arrange. Tanja has always enjoyed the fact that her collections allow for amazing layer looks offering lots of options to create your own individual look all by yourself.
Tanja's belief is that every human being is special and unique, that's why her designs ground in their own particular simplicity. A simplicity enabling you to show your own inner beauty.
Discover. Experiment. Go beyond. Enjoy.

VERONIQUE BRANQUINHO FOR MARIE JO L'AVENTURE CAPSULE COLLECTION A/W 11/12

Veronique Branquinho for Marie Jo L'Aventure capsule collection a/w 2011-12

Just like last year Belgian lingerie brand Marie Jo L'Aventure releases a capsule collection in collaboration with a guest designer. Designer duo A.F. Vandevorst was chosen last year. This year Veronique Branquinho is invited to create a complete but compact collection for inclusion in Marie Jo L'Aventure's 2011-12 winter collection. The result is a refined line stamped with the unmistakable signature of this Belgian designer.

Veronique Branquinho: "It's an interesting experience to be able to work with a Belgian brand like Marie Jo L'Aventure. Behind the brand is a dynamic company with a rich history and an outstanding international reputation. I totally recognized myself in the DNA of Marie Jo L'Aventure, which epitomises an urban woman with a predilection for stylish design. I like things to be made as pure as possible too. I love that modern femininity stripped of frills and sweet romance but luxurious all the same, without being showy."

"Veronique Branquinho for Marie Jo L'Aventure" is bathed in a 1950s ambience and infused with a sense of couture, in terms of both materials and design. Transparent pieces in tulle, grosgrain and plissées exude pure luxury. The body has a deep rounded back reminiscent of extravagant evening dresses. The eye-catcher in the collection, alongside the "demi-corps" bra, the high briefs and the corset. A flexible, skin-friendly material was developed for the straps with the same look as grosgrain, a rather rigid material used in haute couture. The look and feel of satin silk was also matched with a micro-fibre that looks like a satin duchesse. The collection comes in a mysterious emerald (green) and a timeless onyx (black), two precious stones that only intensify the feeling of couture.

For her collection, Veronique Branquinho took inspiration from the women depicted by such old masters as Cranach, Giorgione, Raphael and Dürer. A conception that often runs counter to the contemporary slim beauty ideal yet nevertheless radiates pure sensuality. Branquinho selected from her favourite Eves and Venuses by the masters, had them reproduced and painted lingerie from her collection over the naked bodies. The colours - emerald and onyx- are also inspired by the palette of these masters.

"Femininity is universal and timeless and has always inspired me. It is a recurring theme in my work. When I see the naked figures of the old masters, I don't feel they differ much from the women of today and I wonder how they would look nowadays in lingerie," says Branquinho. "That's why I dresses them. I haven't worked with oil colours since I was at art school; it was a rediscovery. While I was painting I came to the conclusion that the ambience of the collection and the ambience of the paintings fit together wonderfully."

Veronique Branquinho for Marie Jo L'Aventure will be available in specialty lingerie boutiques commencing mid September 2011.
